Comments of Prof. Dr. Nußberger for the Venice Commission
As a substitute member of the European Commission for Democracy through Law, better known as the Venice Commission, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Nußberger M.A. regularly prepared comments on specific legal problems of Central and Eastern European countries until 2010, on the basis of which the Commission issues its opinions. The Venice Commission was founded in 1990 shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Since then it has played a leading role in the adoption of constitutions that conform to the standards of Europe's constitutional heritage.
